Installation Manager (Field Operations Leader)

Location: Baltimore, MD

Abbey Fence & Deck has served the Baltimore metropolitan area for over 70 years, building fences, decks, and access solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, and government clients across Maryland. Known for quality craftsmanship and professional service, Abbey operates one of the region's largest facilities and is now focused on strengthening internal leadership, communication, and field execution as part of a new chapter of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all active installations across multiple crews and subcontractor teams
• Review project contracts, scope, materials, staffing, and schedule before work begins
• Ensure every project is installation-ready by partnering with the Procurement and Warehouse teams
• Visit job sites daily to verify workmanship, quality standards, and contract compliance
• Act as the primary field problem-solver for material issues, plan conflicts, change orders, and customer concerns
• Communicate effectively with installers, customers, inspectors, and office leadership
• Conduct quality control checks during and after installation and report findings
• Mentor installers to uphold Abbey's standards for professionalism and craftsmanship
• Track project progress and provide consistent daily updates to management
• Lead final walk-throughs and secure customer satisfaction at project completion

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of construction project management, field supervision, or crew leadership experience
• Valid driver's license (daily travel between job sites required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
• Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
• Ability to read construction plans and translate the scope into field execution
• Experience with JobTread, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Bluebeam, Houzz, or similar tools preferred
• Background in fencing, decking, or residential construction preferred
• Spanish language proficiency is a strong plus
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 Employment
• Base salary range: $50,000 to $70,000 (based on experience)
• Company vehicle and gas card provided
• Medical insurance
• Performance-based bonus potential (biannual)
• Eligibility for benefits after 90-day introductory period
